The career of the Swiss-born, American sculptor, Arnold Geissbuhler (1897-1993), spanned much of the 20th Century and reflected the prevailing trends in contemporary art, beginning in the realist idiom of 1920s Paris and extending to America and the abstraction dominant in New York during the post-war years.
